Emily Sloan Commits To The University of Oregon

Sloan after winning the 2017 Texas A&M Indoor Classic 60mH

Emily Sloan, a senior from Rock Canyon High School (Colorado), has verbally committed to run for the University of Oregon.

Sloan is a huge hurdle pickup for the Ducks as she holds indoor PRs of 7.52 for 55mH and 8.39 for the 60mH. Outdoor, she has run 12.15 for the 100mH and 41.24 for the 300mH.

She has four Colorado state track and field champion titles, including two in the 100mH and one in the 300mH. She's also a two-time Great Southwest Classic champion in both the 100mH and 300mH.

During the 2016 outdoor track season, Sloan was the Brooks PR 100mH runner-up behind 2016 Hoover (AL) graduate Brittley Humphrey, who now runs for Louisiana State University. Just last spring, Sloan placed third at New Balance Nationals Outdoor in the 100mH and 15th in the 400mH.

She will join Shae Anderson (CA) and Joseph Anderson (CA), two top hurdlers from the 2017 recruiting class.
